A shattered dream

behind the mask of blinding love...
a voyage of thoughts of unlimited time...
in the space of the heart - of godly proportion...

an unkind act of an ugly soul...
a shocking blast - the splatter of red...
a shaken faith - an unbelievable sight...

in the deathly silence of a fearful shadow...
lies the spirit-a shattered dream.

Cricket - 3

He refuses to go to school. Says schools have no hope and waste of time!!! Instead he wants to concentrate on cricket initially and move on to endorsements later!!

Cricket - 2

I am worried!! Right when 'endorsements' are trickling in - i have lost my form!!!

Cricket - 1

Oh!! Nothing new here. He has this hobby of collecting different coins. As soon as the toss is done, he dives and grabs it.

General - 4

No H1N1 or Nuke disaster sir. Pollution is getting out of hand. That's all.

Quiet Heaven

I want to cup your face and see in your eyes -
A thousand tiny stars glow and glee.

I want to blow the fragrance of jasmine -
While you close your eyes to the rest of the world.

I want to see the smile on your lips -
Breaking like the sun in the east…

I want to see the dance of your hair -
To the tune of the air -
Covering uncovering you…

I want to feel your breath
And lose my senses.

I want to draw you on to my chest-
And sing you the song of the – “quiet heaven”.

I want to rest myself on your lap -
And lose myself to your “soft whispering eyes”.

I want your tears, of joy, to roll down
And wet my tongue.

If only - I can kiss you with tears in my eyes -
I can instantly lose my identity.

Thief Story - 3

The jail inmates seem to be much calmer and happier these days.  I guess they feel ‘elevated’ what with top politicians and corporate heads giving them company!!

General - 3

He is not a hawker sir. He is the motorman. His house is in a nice locality across the road. He says he can't sleep at home as it is 'too quiet'. He goes home only to eat food and comes back to sleep here.

General - 2

He is not a typical beggar. One of his sons is an MBA and the other one is an IIT!! They are not supportive of this but he says - one should never forget and respect one's roots - and continues begging.

General - 1

It is getting tougher. First the candidate is interviewed by the teacher, then by the principal followed by another one with both the parents and the candidate. Only if they find suitable they will allot a seat!!

Economy - 1

The country is doing great. Poverty is down, unemployment is down, GDP is up, and we have many more billionaires now. I say good show!! The country is in safe hands.

Cop Story - 5

I know you are innocent and know nothing about this case but tell me who is behind this??

Thief Story - 2

You fool!!! There is not a dime to steal from in there. Everything is confiscated after the IT raid.

Thief Story - 1

These banks are playing havoc with our lives. Credit cards, Debit cards, Internet Banking and what not?? People don't carry money in their wallets anymore!!

Cop Story - 4

No point catching him. He has the knack to escape every time we catch him.

Cop Story - 3

The thief is caught. They are searching for the loot. He says he had kept it here. Seems someone has already 'pinched' it.

Cop Story - 2

He is a jail bird. Spent most part of his life with the police. He feels happy hanging out at the police station than at home.

Cop Story - 1

Don't feel down sir!! I can help you get the man you want but you have to release me unconditionally.

Office Life - 7

He is very paranoid. Even if a cupboard is moved in the other room, he thinks an ‘earthquake’ has struck. Immediately he ducks and takes cover under the table.

Office Life -6

This is the final warning to you. If you take 'bribe' again without informing me, i will dismiss you. Don't you know taking bribes is an offence??

Office Life -5

He is very paranoid about his clean image. He thinks clearing a file will invite somebody to level charges against him for favoritism or some wrong doing. So he does not clear any file. Just sits, wiles away his time and goes back home.

Office Life - 4

No sir, the boss is right there. You can not see him because the files are blocking the view.

Office Life - 3

Nothing wrong with his eyes. His wife thinks he looks much younger and youthful with the goggles on. He wears it all the time.

Office life - 2

Don’t get it wrong. He is the most sincere, efficient and honest officer here. The bosses like him. The thing is he cannot sleep in the night. Takes all necessary files home, works all night and comes to the office on time and sleeps here.
